More stuff
Gun unwrap almost done.
Finishing it and the chair unwrap in the AM.
Try to fix my TV UVs before class
Opacity maps for the curtains and the papers are not connected, because maya has problems rendering those in the viewport.
There are holes and frayed edges and such on them

Small textures update
-Created a small texture sheet for some papers (diffuse only, will add edge wear and tears to pages with an opacity map some other time)
-created texture sheet for the wood rack (includes black metal, newspapers and that wood). Mapped that, the candles, the gate, and the fire poker with it.
Mona lisa painting won't be Mona Lisa, I was just testing it out ;)
Also laid out UVs for my rifle the other day, forgot to post it as an update. Whoops.

Final Camera?
Looks like this may be my final layout and camera.... Still trying to make the floor more interesting, open to ideas for how to clutter it or something

More rifle progress
Almost done with the rifle. Have a few more doodads to add on the laser sight/IFF style assembly under the barrel, but otherwise this is the rifle I'm putting in my scene.
The ones sitting in the crates will not have the alien scope or laser attachment, but will otherwise be the same model.

Rifle progress
Put UVs on those chips I was adding for the table to rough up the break. I think they look fine for now, so i'm gonna stop worrying about them.
Also began modeling my rifle. Modeled out the stock, trigger and trigger guard, as well as a strap for additional shells.
The barrel is almost done, but I have more modeling to do for the A) Scope B) Reciever (is that what it's called on a bolt action?) and C) alien attachments.
Modeling will be finished tomorrow so I can start getting these bad boys in scene. Also may begin my UDK importing tomorrow so I can at least get some lighting started
Updates!
- Changed the chair legs. Did a UV layout on the chair (did not apply textures for this shot since the checkerboard makes the chair hard to see)
-Forgot that I said I'd add more geo to the edges of the TV, so I did that. Gave me an opportunity to clean up some wonky geometry on that as well
-Added jagged wood panels to the table to start giving it a more broken look.

Quick update after class/before bed
Just a tiny update. Working around some of my UVs, getting rid of hidden faces. Put some flat colors on my sleeping bag just to make sure I laid out my UVs right. Finish the texture in the AM and work on that table!

Redoing UVs for new/revised assets
Still under maya default lighting...
For some reason my pillow is named pillow:pillow and won't let me change it, and all new materials have the pillow: prefix. Does anybody know what the deal is with that and how do I stop it?

Latches and such
-Moved around the missing chunk in the wall. I think I have decided what to do to make that less random: I'm going to put other dents in that wall segment, maybe as if this wall was struck many times and that open area is just where it eventually gave.
-Added more curvature to the TV screen
-Added the folded opening in the sleeping bag.
-Can't see due to the basic material, but I added rifle shells on the ground over by the chair
-Added latches to the crates
-Made the silly little fire poker and moved a few of the planks next to it to break up all the right angles there
-put rifle proxies in the crates. Will have the rifle duplicated in there
- Added a super basic break into the table to see what it would look like sort of caved in. I think it gives some fun lines that break up the floor more than my old shadow did. Will continue modeling this out tonight.

Getting there
-added some wall damage. There are hanging bits, but I think I should put bits on the floor too
-Added logs and newspaper stacks to my rack, as well as the little shovel deal
-extra shovel scoop is gonna be turned into a fire poker, I just duplicated it for the time being.
Sorta feel like my top left corner is exceptionally bare, but it'll likely be lost in a little shadow so I'm not worried about it for right now.

Moar stuff
Placed a table in my scene. I'm going to smash in the middle I think; just smash the thing to the ground (that way I still get the shadow of my chair coming down it.
At the camera angle I'm most leaning towards, that table just is going to look like a huge block and that will suck. hopefully by smashing it in, I can break that up, add some visual interest to the scene.
I think I accidentally left my old window in this scene... Oops.
